The Benefits of Blog Hopping
The Benefits of blog hopping what are the benefits of blog hopping you ask one word “Traffic” and that’s free traffic I might add you see when you visit other blogs and leave a comment on a post you can create a back link if you have the plugins from your comment back to your own blog and that’s a way that you can generate free traffic.
To do this you will need these plugins you can download these plugins and install them on your blog.
CommentLuv = http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/commentluv/
This CommentLuv plugin will leave a link back to most recent post at the bottom of your comment that has the commentluv plugin installed. This plugin is great for new visitors and also for generating Free Traffic to your website. They see your most recent title of your post and think “I need to look at that” I’ve done that and have met some really cool people.
KeywordLuv = http://scratch99.com/wordpress-plugin-keywordluv/
This KeywordLuv plugin allows your commentator to use an anchor keyword after their name when they fill in the name section on the comment form and the website will link to the keyword phrase rather than your name. This is great if you are targeting keywords for your website.
DoFollow = http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sem-dofollow/
The DoFollow is a excellent plugin to help the Google bots crawl from website to website. Anyone that leaves a link in your comment section. This will allow the googlebots to go from your website to theirs and help with ranking especially if this is coming from a website that has a higher traffic and page ranking than yours.

The Double Optin comments plugin allows you to subscribe to the websites you have made comments on and to see when others have made comments. Also allows your commentators to subscribe to your blog posts and comments page as well.
Add to Any= http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-to-any/
The Add to Any plugin will allow you to socially bookmark the post with what ever service you want to use such as Digg, Twitter, Facebook etc etc. You can use any other social plugin as well.
Back sometime last year in the Masterclass forum a comment was made in a thread about a 100 blog comment challenge so some of the students thought this was a great idea and started working to get this in to action.
So the idea was to preferably get 100 Masterclass students to participate and by submitting a post on their blog for the challenge and then go to each of the contributors blogs and leave a comment on a 100 blogs in total and then also receiving 100 comments.

This is how some of the 100 blog comment challengers got acquainted with Sally Neill by visiting her blog and she also visited theirs while all of the Masterclass students Mentor is John Thornhill and Sally’s is Alex Jeffery’s.
Well the other day I got an email from Sally Neill because I’m on her email list and the title simply said:
New Blog Post + A Prize For Ya?
So I followed the link in the email and read her post and she has created her own coaching program and her “Learn with Sally Coaching” will go live on the 23rd of this month July but you really need to go to her blog and read her blog post and also read her new ebook titled “Newbies Next Chapter” it’s really a very good read and I am sure you will enjoy it as much I did and even pick up on a few idea’s heck you could even leave her a comment.

This also is a way that you can meet a lot of cool helpful people by blog hopping and learn a lot from their blog post.
So leaving comments on other people’s blogs while blog hopping is a good way to get back links to your blog although it is a bit time consuming.

That was a good idea you had with the 100 blog comment challenge! and after reading Sally’s post and eBook the other day I thought I’ll go blog about it and start some blog hopping again.

Hi Mike, The benefits of blog hopping go a lot further than traffic alone.
It’s a fantastic way of building relationships and getting to know people.

Yes I agree that blog hopping can be much more than just the traffic benefits like you said building relationships and these relationships could turn in to a JV partnerships as well.

Thanks for the big shout out, I was looking and thinking… that’s the email I sent out lol.
I love blog hopping, sadly I have not been able to do it as much as I would like lately, but comments on my blog didn’t die down at all.
Just shows all that time and effort I put into building those relationships remained strong.
You mentioned quite a few of my fav plugins already!
But a few others are of course, facebook like and the tweet me me plugin as they are very big traffic drivers AND you get to share all your fav blog posts with a few clicks.
I will always be a blog hopper at heart and whenever I have a few spare mins, I always spend them hopping and I advise every blogger to do the same.

Talk about plugins I’ve been messing around trying to get the newer updated version of commentluv uploaded to my blog and finely got it all sorted out.
